TALKS ABOUT GIRLS RIGHTS
We promote girl rights from the youngest girls to the oldest ones in the community. We organize talks about women empowerment and we promote dialogues for them to talk and express freely.
REUSABLE SANITARY PADS/ TOWELS WORKSHOP
Most of the girls in the community don’t talk about the menstruation at home. From Volcop we organize talks in the schools of the community to inform the girls what menstruation means and how it happens. We also explain to the girls about menstral hygiene as for boys we encourage them to support girls. We normally provide material to the girls during these workshops and demostrate to them how they can use the local materials to make a reuseable sanitary towel. This project was initiated after researching about the complications involved when the girls experience their monthly menstration periods. This is the best method for them because it’s good for the enviroment and its cheap because they can be washed, dried, ironed and be used again and again.
